Defending champions Lekhwiya on Saturday face their biggest challenge this season when they take on unpredictable Al Gharafa. Lekhwiya are trailing Qatar Stars League (QSL) leaders Al Sadd by one point after 14 matches.
Al Sadd have 29 points whereas Lekhwiya, who won the QSL title in their maiden appearance last season, have a tally of 28 points. However, Lekhwiya must be at their best against former champions Al Gharafa coached by Bruno Metsu.
Al Gharafa, who have struggled this season, can never be taken lightly by their opponents, having won three back-to-back titles before their streak was snapped by Lekhwiya last season.
