Al Duhail delegation will travel this morning to Kuala Lumpur to participate in the meeting held by the Asian federation for football for the Afc quarter-finals and the draw for the quarter-finals which will begin next August .
Al Duhail delegation consist of Ismail Ahmed the team manager , and Mohamed Bashir Al Sulaiti the media coordinator who will attend the draw .
Al Duhail was able to reach this stage after it won over Al Ain UAE in the round of 16 , after it won over it in the away match that was held on Hazza Bin Zayed stadium in Al Ain UAE by 4-2 , and won over it again in the home match by 4-1 on Abdullah Bin Khalifa stadium .
Ismail Ahmed the team manager asserted that Al Duhail proved its abilities in reaching the farthest point in the competition after it won in the round of 16 outside and on its stadium after a great match .
Ismail said : " We hope the confrontation will gather us with one of the Iranian teams and to reach with Al Sadd the final round so that Qatar can be representative in the final match " .
Mohamed Bashir Al Sulaiti the media coordinator of the club , said : " Al Duhail was able to presen a special season , and was able to win in it the league championship and Qatar Cup and the Emir Cup " .
Al Sulaiti said : " The team will begin the next round of the champions league in the beginning of July and the players will be ready physically and technically with the beginning of the matches of the quarter-finals , in which we wish to not face Al Sadd specially that we are the representatives of Qatar state in this competition , and i hope we reach the semi-finals to book a seat for our state in the final match , and we hope the cup championship will be in Doha " .
The clubs that reached the quarter-finals are : Al Duhail,Al Sadd (QAT) , Persepolis , Esteghlal(IRN) , Jeonbuk Hyundai , Suwon Samsung , Tianjin Quanijian , Kashima Antlers .
