Ghana deputy skipper Andre Ayew has expressed delight with his side's 2-0 win over Huddersfield in the English Premier League.

Andre who came on as a second half substitute scored and assisted as his side West Ham United earned their first win of the season.

Pressure was mounting on manager Slaven Bilic and the players  and a possible defeat wouldn't have been good for the side.

“We are happy for the manager, for the fans and for ourselves,” said the No20, who recovered from a minor injury suffered on international duty with Ghana to take his place on the bench,” Ayew told club’s official website.

“We are players, we are a team and we are together. Times were tough, but we needed to stick together and work hard as a team to make it happen.

“We’ve got the first points, so let’s work hard and try to get more.”

West Ham will face West Brom in their next Premier League game.
