Deputy Sports Minister Pius Hadzide assures national team coaches of settlement of outstanding salaries

Deputy Sports Minister Pius Enam Hadzide has assured all national team coaches, both at youth and senior levels that their outstanding salaries will be paid.

Several national team coaches are owed, however, the minister indicates the sponsorship deal with the Ghana National Petroleum Company will aid in defraying the debts.

“Part of the money will be used settle some of the contractual obligations on the Ministry including of the payment some of the national team coaches.

“Let me also encourage any coach or any person who has an outstanding matter with Ministry to come forth so that we can initiate discussions on this matters, ” Hon. Pius told the media.

Some of the coaches that have not received their salaries include Under-17 coach, Paa Kwesi Fabin who is preparing the team for the FIFA world Cup to be staged in India.

Coach Yuisif Basigi formerly with the Black Queens is also yet to be paid.
