Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has named Ghana defender Abdul-Baba Rahman on the bench for the first time in three premier league games.
Rahman joined Chelsea from German side Augsburg late in the summer and has since made two appearances for the Blues, one in the Capital One Cup and one in the UEFA Champions League.
The 21-year-old is however yet to make his bow in the English Premier League but could get his chance after being named on the substitute bench for today’s game against Southampton.
Chelsea have endured difficult start to their English Premier League title defense and Coach Jose Mourinho recently threatened he would be forced to play his young players if the more experienced ones do not pull their weight.
They will be looking for a swift return to winning ways after losing 2-1 away in midweek to FC Porto in the Champions League.
Chelsea subs today: Blackman, Zouma, Baba, Matic, Loftus-Cheek, Pedro, Remy. #CFC
