Hearts Coach Frank Nuttal commiserates with Kotoko

Accra Hearts of Oak Coach Frank Nuttal has sent his goodwill message to the Kumasi Asante Kotoko team after last Wednesday’s horrific accident.  

The team bus of Kumasi Asante Kotoko run into a stationery truck carrying fertilizers on the Nkawkaw highway claiming the life of their equipment officer Mr. Thomas Obeng Asare with several players injured.

The porcupine warriors were supposed to play the Phobians over the weekend but the game had to be postponed indefinitely because of the accident.

Several clubs and individuals have sent in their messages and donations to commiserate with the club and Coach Frank Nuttal follows in with some sincerest words urging the team to return even stronger.

“First of all, my condolences and the team’s condolences to the late equipment manager of Kotoko [Thomas Obeng Asare], and the family of the equipment manager – my sympathies go to them,” he told accraheartsofoaksc.com.

“My sympathies also go out to everyone connected with Kumasi Asante Kotoko and we wish them a speedy recovery and we wish them well.

“What happened is disastrous and very sad. It is serious and really sad and so our thoughts and prayers are with them.”

Kotoko have also been excused in from the match day 24 fixture against league leaders WAFA.
