Ghana striker Kevin Prince Boateng played an influential role in Las Palmas’ acquisition of former Chelsea forward Loic Remy and A C Milan midfielder Alberto Aquilani.

The forward shocked fans of La Liga when he terminated his contract with the Spanish side citing reason as wanting to be close to his family.

The attacker joined Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt  and scored over the weekend to hand his new side victory.

Boateng, who’s move left some bitterness in the Las Palmas fans made amends by facilitating the moves of Loic Remy and Alberto Aquilani.

“His influence was huge. He told me I should not think twice. He told me about the Island and how the people live here. I could have signed somewhere else, but I decided to go for Las Palmas with Boateng’s suggestion, "said Frenchman Remy, who came from Chelsea.
