Kumasi Asante Kotoko Striker Yakubu Mohammed and goalkeeper Felix Annan were able to escape the unfortunate accident involving the club on Wednesday.
The duo were not part of the contingent that left Accra for Kumasi despite being part of the squad for the game.
The players and officials of the club on board sustained injuries after their bus got involved in a collision with a truck parked by the road.
The two players asked for permission to return to Kumasi the following day, hence escaping the incident.
Both players were in action when Kotoko lost 1-0 to Inter-Allies at the El WAK Stadium.
Injured players and officials of the Club are still receiving treatment with head Coach Steve Polack reported to be undergoing a surgery after breaking his neck.
