After a disappointing result in the opening match of the QNB Stars League season, Al Arabi are looking to turn things around against hosts Al Duhail this week. Djamel Belmadi’s side enjoyed a flying start last week with a last minute 3-2 win against Qatar Sports Club will be looking to build on their successful start to life in the QNB Stars League.
The Red Knights task could be a challenging one as Al Arabi will be looking to bounce back from their 3-1 defeat to Al Sailiya to kick start their 2017/2018 campaign. The Dream Team will be looking for some inspiration from their new signing Khalfan Ibrahim who grabbed a impressive debut goal in the defeat.
However, Al Duhail will be hoping that Moroccan international striker Yousef El-Arabi will be able to add to his brace that he scored against Qatar SC last weekend. Last season’s top goal scorer enjoys playing against Al Arabi, and grabbed a hat-trick when the sides met for the first time during the 2016/2017 season.
