Ministry of Sports to be blamed for the Black Satellites failure to secure AYC qualification - Alhaji Sadugu

Management committee chairman of the Black Satellites Alhaji Sadugu has attributed his side’s failure to qualify for the Africa Youth Championship to the Ministry of Youth and sports refusal to provide enough motivation for the lads.

The national under 20 side needed two unanswered goals against Senegal to book qualification for the tournament slated for Zambia later next year but only managed to score just a goal thanks to Charlse Boateng’s only strike of the game to earn the Satellites a 3-2 aggregate defeat.

Speaking to Happy fm on Monday, management committee chairman of the Black Satellites Alhaji Sadugu revealed the sports ministry let them down on Friday in their pursuit for victory.

"The ministry of youth and sports failed to provide enough motivation to ginger the Black Satelites players to fight for a qualification victory over Senegal" Alhaji Sadugu said on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo sports program.

Senegal who denied Ghana a qualification will now join Guinea, Mali, Sudan, Egypt, South Africa, Cameroon and host Zambia for the competition proper.
