Patrick Twumasi replaces injured Gyan in Black Squad for Mauritius game

Kazakhstan based Ghanaian attacker Patrick Twumasi has earned a debut Black Stars call-up to replace injured Ghana skipper Asamoah Gyan for Ghana's 2017 AFCON qualifier against Mauritius.

The 21-year-old was named in coach Avram Grant's 23-man squad for the game after impressing impressing at his club side in the Kazakhstani Premier League.

Twumasi who have already represented Ghana at youth level thus earns his debut call-up to the senior national team.

He is expected to join the rest of the players as they begin camping in Accra on Monday May 30 ahead of the game on June 5 in Mauritius.
