Al Duhail will be looking to continue winning ways when they take on Al Arabi in the match of the week for round two. Ahead of the Saturday evening match at Duhail stadium, head coach Djamel Belmadi spoke to the local media.
Opening up the press conference Belmadi noted that his side has to be at full concentration for the visit of Al Arabi. “It’s the beginning of the season, what i can see from the other games is that the teams is not fully ready especially with the conditions. Every game is difficult now, we could see some strange results in the league we will have to be focused for Al Arabi.”
“Our back four was completely new this season, and they have to get used to each other. However the way we play leaves our defence open on the counter, we need to find a balance between this over the next few weeks. Everyone can do better, and I am fully confident that they will improve” added the Algerian coach when asked about his sides defensive performance against Qatar SC.
Ending the press conference Belmadi insisted that the pressure is firmly on for his Saturday evening opponents.“The coach is already under pressure after losing 3-1 and they will be looking for a big result. However my focus is my team, and as ever we will be fighting to win all three points. ”
