The Youth and Sports Ministry has released a statement offering support to Kumasi Asante Kotoko following an accident the team had on Wednesday evening.
The Ministry expressed deep shock and offered its heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased.
Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah is on his way to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, where the injured are currently receiving treatment.

‘The Ministry of Youth and Sports (MOYS) have learnt of the tragic road accident involving the bus of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Football Club when the team was returning to their base following their mid-week encounter with Inter Allies FC in Accra on Wednesday.
Whilst we wait for detailed report on the unfortunate incident, the Minister on behalf of the Ministry, Government and the people of Ghana with deep shock, wishes to express our heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased whilst offering our deep thoughts and prayers to the injured of the Kotoko sporting fraternity in this moments of grief.
