Our squad scored a slender victory over El Jaish 2:1 in the top-flight clash of QSL Round 12 held in Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium of Lekhwiya SC.
Krisztian Nemeth and Vladimir Weiss scored for Al-Gharafa in minutes 25 and 76 whileRashidov scored for El Jaish in the 66th minute.
The two teams swapped control over the game and also both of them wasted a lot of good chances. Our Head Coach, Pedro Ciaxinha, produced very smart maneuvers during the two halves leading our team to harvest the whole spoils of the game. Johnson Kendrick saw red in the stoppage time for a second yellow card.
This result raised our points tally to 23 sitting fourth in QSL standings, whilst El-Jaish is still table-topping with 28 points.
