Yusif Basigi reveals he is not paid monthly as Black Queens coach

Ghana senior female team coach Yusif Basigi says he is not paid monthly salary as coach of the team.

Basigi who was hoping to become the first coach to guide the Black Queens to win an African Women's championship could only finished third at the just ended tournament in Cameroon.

In an exclusive interview with Accra based radio station Starr FM, Basigi revealed he has never received salary as coach of the Black Queens but only get per-diems when on national assignments.

“I leave on per diems when on national assignments. I don’t receive monthly salary,” he told Starr FM.

“But we just try and do our possible best for the team, even though is difficult to rely on per-diems you have no choice.”

Yusif Basigi has been the head Coach for the Black Queens since 2011 after replacing James Kuuku Dadzie.
