AFC Champions League: Al-Sadd conclude preparations for Al-Nassr, Ali Asad ruled out

Al-Sadd midfielder Ali Asad was confirmed to be ruled out of action for the upcoming period, after suffering an Achilles injury during the team’s final training session on Monday.

The Wolves are preparing to face Al-Nassr in their Group D clash in the AFC Champions League 2020. The match is set to kick off at 6:15 PM on Tuesday at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium, in Riyadh.

Ali was injured in the final minutes of the training session without contact with any player. Later, the medical staff examined the injury and confirmed the Achilles tear.

The session saw the Al-Sadd team conclude their preparations for the game. Head coach Xavi Hernandez was keen to implement certain special attacking and defensive drills, before conducting a practice mini-game in the second half of the session.
