Doha, Qatar: Sebastian Soria and Lucca Borges were on target as Al Rayyan held Al Khor to a 2-2 draw to emerge as Group B winners in the QSL Cup. Ahmed Al Mohannadi scored both the goals for Khor, who finished second with 11 points, just two behind Rayyan.
In the other matches in the group, Al Ahli blanked Al Sadd 3-0 and Al Shahania defeated Al Sailiya 1-0.
Ahli, with nine points, and Sadd on five also progressed to the last eight from the group while Shahania (three) and Sailiya (one) were ousted.
In Group A, Qatar SC registered a 2-1 win over Al Duhail. Ali Said (eighth minute) and Khalid Mahmoudi (42nd) scored the goals for Qatar SC. Paolo Edmilson pulled one back for Al Duhail in the 84th minute.
Qatar SC (11 points), Al Gharafa (nine), Al Duhail (eight) and Al Kharaitiyat (six) progressed to the quarterfinals from the group while Umm Salal and Al Arabi missed out.
In the quarterfinals, Rayyan will take on Kharaitiyat, Khor play Duhail, Ahli will be up against Gharafa while Sadd meet Qatar SC.
