Al-Sadd conclude preparations ahead of Umm Salal clash, Abdelkarim returns to the squad

The Al-Sadd football first team concluded their preparations ahead of the final and 22nd Round of the 2018-19 QNB Stars League, where the Wolves are scheduled to play against Umm Salal at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Saturday.

Al-Sadd go into the game having already clinched the league title in the previous round. The team currently has 54 points while Umm Salal are in ninth place with 23 points. The first phase match between the two sides ended in a 5-1 win for Al-Sadd.

At the end of Friday’s final training session, head coach Jesualdo Ferreira announced the 18-man matchday squad for the game, which is as follows:

Jehad Mohammed, Meshaal Barsham, Abdelkarim Hassan, Pedro Miguel, Jung Woo-young, Ali Asad, Hassan Al-Haydos, Baghdad Bounedjah, Hamid Ismail, Gabi, Tarek Salman, Akram Afif, Khoukhi Boualem, Hassan Ahmed, Salem Al-Hajri, Yasir Abubakar, Saoud Al-Nasr, Xavi Hernandez

The squad announcement saw the return of Abdelkarim Hassan, who came back into the squad following his recovery from an ankle injury that had kept him out since the Round 19 game against Al-Sailiya. Goalkeeper Saad Al-Dosari remains to be out of action, as he continues on with his recuperation and physiotherapy.
