The Wolves are trailing 1-0 on aggregate after losing at home in the first leg.

On Monday, the team welcomed Khoukhi Boualem, Abdelkarim Hassan, Pedro Miguel and Akram Afif after the quartet’s return from the Qatar national team camp. Three others – Salem Al-Hajri, Hassan Al-Haydos, Tarek Salman – are still with the national team, having travelled to Tashkent to play Uzbekistan.

Saad Al-Dosari was absent from training as he is undergoing treatment after suffering an injury during the national team camp. Also missing from the club are Baghdad Bounedjah and Jung Woo-young, who are both away with their national teams on international duty.

Meanwhile, Xavi Hernandez returned to training after recovering from a knock he had picked up in the last league game against Al-Sailiya.

The coaching staff used Monday’s training session to work towards getting the players fully fit and ready. The first part of the session was held inside the gym because of adverse weather conditions outside.

Al-Sadd are scheduled to hold daily training sessions before leaving for Tehran.
