Al-Sadd go into the game in high spirits, sitting on top of the league table with 38 points, two ahead of second-placed Al-Duhail. As for Al-Khor, they are in 11th place with 9 points. In the first phase game between the two sides, Al-Sadd won 2-1.

Thursday’s main training session saw the players train hard under the supervision of the coaching staff led by Jesualdo Ferreira. The head coach held a meeting before the session to speak with the players about the objectives from the next game, which is sure to be a huge test for Al-Sadd as they look to maintain top spot.

The coaching staff then worked on implementing certain tactical moves, before holding a practice mini game in the middle of the pitch. The players spent the second part of the session working on shooting drills.

Meanwhile, the four goalkeepers (Saad Al-Dosari, Meshaal Barsham, Saoud Al-Hajri and Jehad Mohammed) trained intensely under the supervision of the goalkeeping coach, who focused in agility, balance and reactions.
