Napoli go into tomorrow’s Europa League round of 32 second leg with a clear advantage over Zurich but Carlo Ancelotti underlined in the pre-match press conference that his players can take nothing for granted.

"I want to see focus tomorrow – the first-leg result offers some comfort, but you can’t take anything for granted in football. Our aim is to play well and get through to the next round. We made a big step towards that in the first game and I don’t want any surprises. I’m expecting a solid display."

About the line-up: "There will be some rotation, with some fresh legs in the side, also given the two matches we’ve played in quick succession. Vlad Chiriches will play, having returned from injury."

When asked about Napoli’s recent goal-scoring difficulties, Ancelotti said: "We need to pay more attention with our passes, with accuracy and calm. There are always small details that need ironing out but you also go through particular periods across an entire season. We need the attackers to shine in front of goal but it’s not just down to individuals. When you’re creating chances, the goals come. I’m expecting more from everyone, not just the forwards."

Meanwhile on matters at the other end of the field, the boss expressed great satisfaction: "I’m very pleased with our defensive work. We’re keeping a high line, with the full-backs constantly pushing forward. I’m happy with this part of the pitch but it should be added that a solid defence also comes from the work of the midfielders and forwards."

Finally, when asked what mark out of 10 he would give his team, the coach responded: “For now I’ll give the team a 7, in the hope of giving them a higher mark at the end of the season. We’ve got three key months coming up. This is a crucial period of the season, when every game can have an impact, particularly in these Europa League knock out ties."
