Abu Dhabi: Islamic Republic of Iran striker Sardar Azmoun has signed for Russian side Zenit St Petersburg from Rubin Kazan.

Russian Premier League leaders Zenit have signed Azmoun, dubbed the "Iranian Messi", for an undisclosed fee.
Azmoun was part of the Iran squad that reached the AFC Asian Cup semi-final, where they lost 3-0 to Japan.
