Pressure continues to mount on Eusebio Di Francesco with Roma suffering another defeat, this time away at Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League.

Di Francesco was far from pleased by his side’s work at the back, with his side now conceding two goals in each of their last four matches.

“The thing I liked the least was the defensive play,” Di Francesco said in his post-match press conference.

“I cannot defend it. I will have to make evaluations of the character of the players.”

Pressure continues to mount on the coach and he admitted it is the most testing spell he has endured on the bench in the Eternal City.

“As a coach, it is the worst moment,” he added.

“There were more difficult moments as a player but now I am thinking about the present and we have to come out of this phase as soon as possible.”

The Roma players appeared nervous on the night, which Di Francesco reluctantly admitted was a possibility.

“It shouldn’t happen, but it can.

“We have to be able to avoid that.

“We are all responsible and we need to look at ourselves.”
