The five-time Malaysia Super League winners revealed the 31-year-old’s arrival via their social media channels on Thursday following a period of intense speculation that he was set to join JDT ahead of their latest Continental campaign.

Diogo, who once played for Olympiacos in Greece, joined Buriram in 2015 and went on to become an instant success scoring 132 goals in 158 appearances for the top-flight Thai side.

The Sao Paulo native is also no stranger to AFC Champions League football having appeared in the competition’s 2015, 2016 and 2018 editions, netting six times in the process.
