Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Ferreira said: “Al Sailiya are a complicated team and playing them will be difficult because they have a group of players who have been playing together for some years. Their coach has also been with the team for a long time. They are a team that knows how to win but our goal is to win the league title and also the Champions League title. We will not give up and we will fight to get the win, and so this game against Al Sailiya is very important.”

He added: “Al Sadd didn’t train much after the game against Persepolis, we gave the players a rest. But you will see Al Sadd winning and that will be the biggest proof that we haven’t been affected by the loss in the AFC Champions League.”

Further, Ferreira said: “We were not able to get this match delayed. There are many matches coming up for our players, both with the national team and the club. Our players play every 3-4 days.”
