The team's coach Nabil Maaloul said in the press conference after the match : " I am happy with the performance of the team in today's match against a big team like Persepolis , and we could have ended the match in the first half and i thank the players on the high spirit they played with and on the high performance and continuous pressure and we were able to control the match in most of its times , and there is still a second half in Tehran and i am optimistic with returning from there with a positive result and reaching the semi-finals "
Maaloul continued by : " We played against a very strong competitor physically and there were many wrong passes and this is the result of the continuous pressure from the Iranian team players , and the Iranian team coach changed the way of performance in this match and was playing with a clear defense performance " .
Maaloul said : " We did not find the opportunity to prepare the balls for the attackers , and this is from the strong pressure the Iranian team played with , and the most important thing is that we did not recieve any goals and this is very important especially that the match is in our stadium , and certainly the Iranian team will not play with this way in the away match ".
