Premier League referee Bobby Madley has left his position, the officials' organisation said on Thursday.

"Bobby Madley is no longer employed by PGMOL," the Professional Game Match Officials Limited said in a statement.

"We understand that he has decided to relocate due to a change in his personal circumstances."

Madley, 32, has overseen 91 games in the Premier League since 2013, as well as the Community Shield last summer. He was one of PGMOL's 18 full-time referees.

Madley did not oversee any games last weekend as the Premier League restarted, nor has he worked in any games in the lower divisions of the Football League, after taking charge of 19 games in the top flight last season.
