Qatar Stars League takes part in 105+dB sonic artwork

The Qatar Stars League (QSL) participated in 105+dB sonic artwork event, organised by the British Council Qatar in partnership with British Embassy as part of the Fifth Qatar British Festival, at Doha’s Souq Waqif on Thursday, 6th December.

The 105+dB included two large-scale sound recordings of football fans recorded during the QNB Stars League and a Premier League match via high-quality audio technology.

It was a sound installation transplanting the awesome wall of noise and energy captured at the stadium to the audience.

The event was attended by British Council Qatar Director Sam Enton, Head of Programmes and Partnerships Waseem Kotoub, QSL’s Community Relations Head Nasser Mubarak Al Kuwari, QNB Stars League stars Abdulrahman Al Korbi and Ahmed Al Saadi from Al Rayyan club, Mailson Farias from Al Arabi, Osama Omari and Ibrahim Jamal from Qatar SC as well as Yousuf Abdulrazak and Baha Al Leithi from Al Sadd and Qatar SC’s Marketing Manager Tarek Al Mahmoud.

QSL’s Executive Director of Marketing, Sales and Communications Hassan Rabia Al Kuwari said, “We thank the British Council Qatar and all participants for organising this event, which represents a unique experience characterised by the enthusiasm and passion of football fans.”

Al Kuwari pointed out that the QSL spares no effort in interacting with members of the society and participating in such initiatives and programmes that help spread the culture of sports in general and football in particular among all groups in the community.
