QNB Stars League — November & December, 2018 — Baghdad Bounedjah (Al Sadd)

Al Sadd’s Baghdad Bounedjah has been adjudged the QNB Stars League’s best player for the months of November & December, 2018.

Bounedjah scored 10 goals and gave six assists in five matches (Weeks 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15) during the term, playing crucial roles in the victories against Umm Salal (5-1), Al Kharaitiyat (7-1), Al Arabi (3-0), Al Gharafa (8-1) and Al Shahania (4-1) in that order.

Al Sadd had also beaten Al Khor 2-1 in their rescheduled game from Week 5. It was played on 28th November.

The two goals he scored against Al Shahania helped Bounedjah become the Qatar league’s all-time top scorer in a single season as he took his personal tally to 28 goals. The Algerian surpassed Brazilian striker Clemerson Soares’ record of 27 goals set in the 2007-08 season for Al Gharafa.

The technical analysis of Bounedjah released by STATS, the official statistics and figures provider for the QNB Stars League, showed he spent 476.0 minutes on the pitch. He made an average of 34.5 passes, of which 26.8 were successful. He scored all his goals from inside the box.

The physical aspects revealed that the ace striker covered a total distance of 9,272.6 metres with a high speed distance of 582.2 and very high speed distance of 200.8.
