Raul Gonzalez won his first trophy as a Real Madrid academy coach with his under-16 Cadete B side defeating Barcelona 2-0 in the final of the San Gabriel Cup on Sunday.

Raul, 41, took over the side in late August as he completes a mandatory 12-month tenure coaching a youth team in order to obtain his coaching licence.

Teams from Real Sociedad and Espanyol also took part in the tournament.

Raul made his coaching debut in the Madrid Youth Cup on Aug. 26, drawing his first game in charge against Gamba Osaka before losing to Alcorcon.
