SAMP INVITE FRONT-LINE DOCTORS AND NURSES TO THE STADIUM FOR BENEVENTO GAME

Published on: 25 September 2020

Five hundred doctors, nurses and health workers have been invited to the Stadio Ferraris for Sampdoria’s first home game of the season against Benevento on Saturday as Serie A stadiums begin to partially reopen following the coronavirus lockdown.

The front-line workers from four Genoa-based hospitals, Galliera, Gaslini, San Martino and Villa Scassi, will take their places in the first tier of the Distinti section.

The idea – strongly endorsed by club president Massimo Ferrero – follows the various Samp for People initiatives run to support hospital staff last season.

Joining them in the stands to cheer on Fabio Quagliarella and Co. will be the girls from Sampdoria’s six female teams, together with their parents.

Rules

The gates will open at 15:00 and everyone entering the stadium will have their temperature taken and must hand in the self-certification to be admitted.

Masks are to be worn at all times while at the stadium.

Spectators in the Inferiore and Distinti stands must sit three seats apart and only in the seat assigned to them. This rules also applies to members of the same family as any grouping together would reduce the minimum distance with others.

Spectators in the VIP and Authorities stands (where there is more space) must sit two seats apart.

After the match, spectators are to wait for the stewards to provide instructions on how to exit the stadium.
