Al Ahli take on Al Khor away on targeting their first victory of the season following their opening day draw with Al Gharafa. The Brigadiers Spanish coach Joaquín Caparrós spoke to the media ahead of the tie.
Opening up the press conference Caparrós revealed that he is not daunted by the prospect of playing Al Khor away from home. “Playing away from home is not that important for my team. Both teams need the three points, and we are aiming to come away from Al Khor with the victory that we need.
“We worked this week in correcting the mistakes against Al Gharafa. Unfortunately two of our players won’t be available in Francisco Sandaza and Kim Gwi-hyeon which is a loss for us” noted Caparrós when asked about absentees for the Saturday evening match.
Whilst summer signing Mohammed Tresor added that nothing less than a win will do for Ahli. “Al Khor are a tough team, and they defend very well. The match is very important for us and we will try everything to win this game.”
