Qatar set for China friendly

Doha: Felix Sanchez’s Qatar will take on China in an international
friendly tomorrow at the Khalifa International Stadium.

Tomorrow’s friendly will be followed with another tie against
Palestine on the 11th of the same month.

Qatar coach Sanchez in the coming months wants to play several
friendly matches with various teams to ensure the best preparation
for his side for the 2019 Asian Cup, Asia’s top competition for
national teams.

In the 2019 Asian Cup, Qatar will be playing against Lebanon, Saudi
Arabia and North Korea in Group E.

“The team atmosphere is very positive and an enjoyable one,” Sanchez
told QFA website in an interview.

“Things are developing as planned. The players have responded well
to my plans,” Sanchez added.

“The coming days and weeks and even months will be used appropriately
to build player fitness and confidence,” he said.

Sanchez named 25 players for the camp ahead of the two friendlies.
