Mamelodi Sundowns legend Eric Ramasike has tipped the Chloorkop outfit to pull off a victory when they face Ghanaian outfit Medeama in their CAF Confederation Cup second leg clash on Wednesday afternoon.

The Brazilians go into this tie with a 3-1 lead from the first leg - courtesy of goals by Leonardo Castro, Khama Billiat and Cuthbert Malajila and, will look to finish it off in order to book a spot in the group stages.

Speaking to Soccer Laduma ahead of the Brazilians tie on Wednesday, the retired midfielder was adamant of Downs’ chances to progress after they put in a great display at home.

“The way we played against that team from Ghana (Medeama) scoring 3-1, I mean it must give us a boost and I think the chances are there for us to win that game tomorrow. We’ve got about 90% chance to win that game tomorrow, “Ramasike told the Siya crew.

The former left footed player also had word of advice for Pitso Mosimane’s charges, encouraging them to go out there and play their normal football without using a defensive approach which he believes could be costly.

“I think we must just go for it and score more goals, “Why should we defend?” We are not going to sit back because if ever we do that we might be making a big mistake.

“It’s possible that we might even score more goals than that three (in first leg). We can score another two tomorrow or if maybe they score one, we can score more, “ the former Downs man said.

In conclusion, Ramasike added that despite Mosimane’s disappointment in having missed out on the CAF Champions League, he believes they will equally take the Confed Cup serious.

“Pitso wants to make a mark in Africa so even this one (CCC), I don’t think he would not want to take it serious. As a matter of fact, he will win it because he wants Sundowns to be big in Africa. I don’t think he will just go there to add numbers. He is definitely going for it!” Ramasike concluded
