The Toon are still looking for their first win of the season after a tough start which sees them struggling at the wrong end of the table.

Despite the struggles at the start of the campaign, Benitez feels he still has the tools to be able to keen the north-east outfit in the top flight and avoid another drop down to the Championship.

The former Real Madrid boss said: "I have confidence we will do it. It's not just me - my staff is really good, the players are working really well, the experience that we have after so many years, and still we are working harder than anyone and we have the updates, the software.

"Everything that everybody has, we have that and experience, and then it's just the team training well.

"It's not that I am telling you this because I have to, it is because I see the team training and when you prepare for the games, you see the other teams and say, 'Okay, they have this and that, but maybe we can do this and that to beat them'."

Newcastle are 6/5 to win, 9/4 to draw and 14/5 to lose to Brighton on Saturday.
