AFC Champions League: Al-Sadd set to travel to Al-Ain on Sunday

The Al-Sadd first team squad is all set to depart from Doha on a chartered jet at 6 PM on Sunday, heading for the city of Al Ain in UAE, in preparation for facing Al Ain FC on Matchday 3 of the 2020 AFC Champions League group stage.

The Group D clash will kick off at 6:05 PM on Tuesday evening (Doha time) at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium.

The Al-Sadd players got a break from training on Saturday, with the team set to hold their final training session in Doha from 12 PM onwards on Sunday at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, before setting out at 6:00 pm for Al Ain.

The Wolves are currently on top of Group D with 4 points, after a 2-2 draw with Saudi side Al-Nassr, and then a 3-0 victory over Sepahan of Iran.

The Al-Sadd squad will miss Salem Al-Hajri, Ali Asad and Hassan Al-Haydos due to injury, while Abdelkarim Hassan and Baghdad Bounedjah are suspended for this game.

Mexican attacker Marco Fabian is also unavailable as he is not registered in the team’s Asian squad list.
