Doha, Qatar: Al Arabi's hopes of fining in the top four in the Qatar Stars League suffered another jolt on Thursday as they were held to a goalless draw by Al Shahania.
In the match played at their home turf Arabi were slightly ahead in terms of ball possession and chances created but some lacklustre finishing ensured that they are now winless in their last four matches in the league.
Mohammed Morteza, Pierre-MichelLasogga and Yousef Abdulrisag all had chances for Arabi but Shahania goalkeeper Ebrahim Mordou was in fine form, thwarting everything the Reds threw at him.
Shahania too had their chances but could not make the most out of them.
Arabi stay fifth with 20 points, just one ahead of Al Wakrah who play Al Duhail on Saturday.
Shahania are 11th on nine points.
