Al Duhail coach Nabil Maaloul spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 14 match against Al Rayyan.
“The match against Al Rayyan is a clear challenge for the players to continue in the path of achieving positive results and our stay at the top of the standings.
“It will be a very difficult game and Al Rayyan are the only team we dropped points against when we were held goalless in the first leg. We have won all other matches so far. Thank God, the team is in first place and there is a five-point difference between us and Al Sadd, which is comfortable.
“After Nam Tae-Hee, our player Abdulla Al Ahraq has also joined the list of injured, but our youngsters know the difficulty of the task. The team has good bench strength and all of our young players are confident. They have high levels and they do very well in future.
“I congratulate Al Sadd player Abdulkarim Hassan on winning the Asian Player of the Year award. I also congratulate the Qatar national football team on this occasion,” said Maaloul.
