The Al-Sadd first team continued with their routine training today after Friday’s friendly game against Umm Salal, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

The team is looking to be fully prepared before the resumption of the league at the end of this month. The coaching staff, led by head coach Xavi, focused first on physical aspects at the start of the training session, to raise the fitness levels of the players according to the programme prepared for the current period, which includes the remaining games in the league and in the continental competition.

Saturday’s session witnessed the participation of all the players currently available in the squad. Hassan Al-Haydos was also in attendance, confirming that he is getting closer to making a full return to group training after recovering from injury.

All the Al-Sadd players are scheduled to get a break from training tomorrow, Sunday, and the team will then resume its training on Monday evening, in preparation for the second friendly against Al-Shamal next Saturday, July 18.
