Al-Sadd first team player Pedro Miguel is scheduled to take part in training from next week, after the physiotherapy and rehabilitation period that followed his shoulder surgery which took place in mid-March in London.

The technical staff, led by Spanish coach Xavi Hernandez and fitness trainer Ivan Torres, has put in place a training program for Pedro, according to his condition, as he trains remotely from home.

Pedro had suffered a shoulder injury during the match against Al Rayyan in Round 17 of the QNB Stars League.

Meanwhile, the rest of the squad also continued their training, many of them working remotely from home whereas a number of players are training at the club’s training center while adhering to precautionary measures to avoid the dangers of the coronavirus.

Xavi communicates via video conferencing with the players to follow their training, and observes the fitness rates through GPS devices, as the team works to stay fit in anticipation of the resumption of the QNB Stars League.

Tarek Salman and Hassan Al-Haydos have both joined first team training remotely after they recovered from their injuries, while Algerian international Baghdad Bounedjah has successfully completed his therapeutic and rehabilitation training after he underwent surgery for a muscle injury.

On the other hand, Salem Al-Hajri and Ali Asad will continue treatment after suffering Achilles tendon injuries. They have both been given a treatment schedule to be followed once they have completed post-surgery recuperation.
