The Al-Sadd management held a felicitation ceremony on Tuesday to honour the nine players who were part of Qatar’s Asian Cup winning squad. The ceremony was held prior to Tuesday’s training session, amidst preparations for the upcoming QNB Stars League game against Al-Khor.
Al-Sadd SC general manager Turki Al-Ali, sporting director Mohammed Ghanem Al-Ali, team officials, coaching staff and the other players felicitated Qatar’s Asian champions on the occasion of their historic triumph.
A huge cake was arranged for the ceremony, with pictures of the Qatar squad and Algerian striker Baghdad Bounedjah, who was also honoured during the ceremony for winning the 2018 Algerian Golden Ball.
Meanwhile, the team stepped up preparations for the game against Al-Khor during the training session which followed. Under the supervision of the coaching staff, the players trained in the gym before moving to the pitch and working with the ball.
