Doha: Al-Sadd reached an agreement to sign South Korea and Vissel Kobe midfielder Jung Woo-young on a multi-year deal starting from this summer.
Sadd said further details of the deal will be revealed at a press conference soon.
The 28-year-old was a vital member of the South Korea team at the World Cup in Russia, having played in the historic 2-0 defeat of world champions Germany on Wednesday.
The signing of the box to box midfielder will be a big boost for Al Sadd as they look to make their mark in the Champions League, where they will meet Iran’s Esteghlal in the quarterfinal, as well as challenge the supremacy of Al Duhail in the QNB Stars League.
