The encounter between Al Sadd vs Al Rayyan, dubbed Qatar Clasico, on Saturday, 22nd September, highlights the QNB Stars League’s Week 6 action. The kick-off is at 17:55 at the Al Sadd Stadium.

Al Sadd boast of Spanish stars Xavi Hernandez and Gabi Fernandez, Algerian ace Baghdad Bounedjah, Akram Afif, Hassan Al Haydous, Ali Asad, Boualem Khoukhi and South Korean midfielder Jung Woo-Young.

Al Rayyan’s confidence is also high as they occupy the top position in the standings with 11 points even though they have played a match more than Al Sadd and Al Duhail.

The Lions, under Argentinian Rodolfo Arruabarrena, surged ahead after defeating Al Arabi in Week 5.

Al Rayyan have in their ranks Rodrigo Tabata, Sebastian Soria, Khalfan Ibrahim, Daniel Goumou, Gonzalo Vieira and Koh Myong-Jin and Jonathan Menendez. They have recruited Brazilian Luca and completed the quota of their professional players.
