Al-Sadd held their main training session on Wednesday, at the club secondary pitch, in preparation for the upcoming Amir Cup 2020 quarterfinal clash against Al-Wakrah. The match is set to be played on Friday evening at Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium.

The Wolves qualified for this stage after defeating Al-Kharaitiyat 3-1 in the round of 16, while Al-Wakra overcame Al-Shahaniya in a penalty shoot-out.

Al-Sadd are missing a number of key players due to injuries sustained recently, such as Salem Al-Hajri, Ali Asad, Hassan Al-Haydos, Tarek Salman and Pedro Miguel.

The coaching staff, led by Spain’s Xavi Hernandez, focused on preparing the players for the Al-Wakrah game with technical training with the ball, before moving to the tactical side, which included both offensive and defensive aspects.
