The Qatar Football Association (QFA) announced that, based on the circular issued by the Qatar Olympic Committee to suspend all domestic sports activities until 29th March, 2020, it has decided to stop all football matches, including the Amir Cup, QNB Stars League, Second Division League, Qatargas League and Ooredoo Cup in the 2019-20 season, till the above date.
It also applies to other domestic competitions supervised by the QFA from Sunday, 15th March, until 29th March, 2020.
The decision comes in line with the efforts and measures taken by the State of Qatar to limit the spread of novel coronavirus (Covid-19) and to ensure the safety of technical and administrative officials, players as well as fans at the stadiums hosting the matches.
