Jack Hobbs played only five times for Nottingham Forest last season

Bolton Wanderers have signed former Nottingham Forest defender Jack Hobbs on a free transfer.

The 29-year-old has agreed a one-year deal after impressing during a trial.

He moved to the City Ground in 2013 and played 67 times for Forest, having previously made more than 100 appearances for Leicester.

"He has not only shown what a good player he is, but also what a good character he has," Bolton manager Phil Parkinson told the club website.
