Holders Manchester City advanced to the Carabao Cup semifinals by defeating 4-1 Arsenal at the Emirates on Tuesday.

The game was even at the break thanks to a third-minute goal from Gabriel Jesus and an Alexandre Lacazette strike just after the half-hour mark.
City's class showed in the second half, however, when Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden struck five minutes apart to put the match out of reach, and Aymeric Laporte added another to cap the scoring.
The victory keeps City's hopes for a fourth consecutive Carabao Cup title on track and heaps more pressure on embattled Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, whose side are winless over their past four matches in all competitions.
