Al-Sadd head coach Jesualdo Ferreira expressed his confidence in his team’s abilities ahead of the upcoming QNB Stars League clash against Al-Duhail, which could decide the league title for Al-Sadd. He was speaking at the pre-match press conference held at Tawar Mall.
After thanking the Tawar Mall authorities for hosting the event, Ferreira went on to descibe the game as a crucial clash. “I want to thank the Tawar Malla authorities; we are very happy to be here. We have a curcial clash coming up and it is the most important match of the season for both teams. My team is relaxed and under no pressure. We will work towards winning this game.”
He added: “I don’t think any person can predict the result of this game. The title could be decided in it, even with two games remaining. We are leading over Al-Duhail by four points and even if we lose this game, we will still be on top with two games to play. The pressure will be on Al-Duhail, especialyl as it is an important game and a Clasico of the Qatari league.”
Ferreira also spoke of how his team has up to 14 players who play for the various age groups of the Qatar national team and are experienced enough to give their best despite their tough schedules.
“I have players of a high calibre and I think that it is time to win the league. The players deserve that this season.”
As for the chance of winning the league in the next game, Ferreira said: “There are three games remaining in the league and we need to focus on all the small details in such big games. I have huge confidence in the players and I just ask them to multiply this confidence, enjoy themselves, give enjoyment to the fans, and win the title.”
