Former Ghana President John Agyekum Kuffour has called for serenity ahead of the super two clash on Sunday between two of the country's most glamorous clubs, Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak.

Hearts and Kotoko will square up against each other in an eagerly anticipated game following the Porcupine Warriors’ return from a terrible car accident last month.

Games between the two sides have been marred by several unfortunate incidents in the past, one of which resulted in the famous May 9th disaster.

However, former President John Kuffour has called for calmness between the two sides ahead of the duel.

“All over the world today football is the number one sport, but we sometimes forget is just a game so we should ignore all issues which mars the game and lets make it beautiful.”

“When you do that it brings happiness and a sense of belonging so I wish both sides well in the upcoming clash, ” President Kuffour said.

The former President was one time chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
