Guardiola rules out City exit

Published on: 10 March 2019

Pep Guardiola is adamant he has no plans to leave Manchester City before his contract expires, despite reported interest from Juventus.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss saw his side go a step closer towards the Premier League title after a 4-1 victory over Watford on Saturday, with Raheem Sterling bagging a hat-trick.

Talk after the game was not solely on the Citizens performance, with speculation rising that Serie A champions Juve are looking to make an ambitious move for the Catalonian tactician.

However, Guardiola is adamant he has no plans to move to Turin and would be more than happy to see out his contract at the Etihad Stadium.

"I have two more years here and I am (not) going to move," he said. "Impossible. Except if they sack me and after I go home. But if Manchester City want me, I will stay two more years by far - and hopefully another one.

"I am not going to Juventus in the next two seasons."

Juve look set to win the Serie A title once again this season under manager Max Allegri but the Italian coach does look set to leave the club this summer in search of a new challenge.

City are 3/10 to win the Premier this season, while Liverpool are 5/2 to claim the title.
